Privacy Policy

Rove is a safety and emergency services finder. We do not require accounts, collect personal identifiers, or run ads. Your location is transmitted to map services solely to find nearby services — it is not stored on Rove servers and is not sold.

• Location (GPS or typed address) — Sent to the third-party services listed below to find nearby emergency services and to calculate directions. Not stored by Rove on any server. Legal basis: legitimate interest (public safety service).
• Search queries — Sent to Nominatim to resolve place names to coordinates. Not logged by Rove.
• Routing coordinates — Sent to Mapbox via our Cloudflare proxy using HTTPS POST. Coordinates are in the request body and are not written to access logs. Not stored.
• Offline saves — Stored only on your device using local storage. Never transmitted. Delete anytime from the app.

• No accounts, names, emails, or personal identifiers
• No advertising or analytics SDKs of any kind
• No access to contacts, camera, or microphone
• No silent IP geolocation — home-country detection uses your GPS fix only if you grant location permission

• MyMemory — Translates non-English place names to English for display. Only place names are sent, never your location or search queries. mymemory.translated.net/doc/privacy.php

Rove does not retain personal data on its servers. Offline saves are stored on your device until you delete them via the app. Third-party services operate under their own retention policies linked above.

If you are in the EU, EEA, UK, or California, you have the right to access, correct, or request erasure of personal data we hold. Because Rove stores no personal data on its own servers, there is no data to retrieve or delete from our side. For data held by third-party services, consult their privacy policies above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (e.g., your EU Member State's data protection authority).

Rove is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
